Our hardwoods are one of the strongest and most durable materials you can use in your cooking, dining and serving pleasure. We always make sure every piece is accompanied by our Care instructions. We recommend that after use, wash with hot soapy water, rinse well and dry immediately Please do not ever put wooden items in the automatic dishwasher. The harsh chemicals in the detergent will dry the wood and cause it to be brittle and break easily. Every piece we make is treated with a food safe mineral oil and then coated liberally with a food safe beeswax and mineral oil to protect the wood. Wood should never be allowed to sit in water or liquid for long periods of time. We use Howard Wood Products and recommend continued use after your purchase.
